Electrostatic Dissipative Products (ESD Products)
While thermoplastics inherently have very good electrical insulating properties, many materials can be modified through various fillers to make them Conductive, Semi Conductive, Static Dissipative, or Anti Static. The fillers used to change the electrical properties also tend to alter other physical properties like strength, dimensional stability, and wear resistance.
These ESD shapes can be produced by utilizing Extrusion, Injection Molding, or Compression Molding methods.
What are the Benefits of ESD Products?
- Wide range of material options
- Ability to bleed off a charge
- Strength and Stability
- Machinability
- Good Wear Resistance
